Number 1: Sony, please don’t sue me. I understand that I’m a private individual and a lazy a$$ tumblr blog with 20 something subscribers at probably an average of about 100 views per post (rough estimate based on mirrored content in other related content streams, blogger-cism [the assumption that a smaller content stream affects larger content streams beyond itself based on collective reasoning and common relative solutions to parallel problems in connections with nuanced social overlays] and base statistics for uniquely viewed content-tricked em with SEO and convoluted prose) doesn’t make a dent in what this ruling is setting a precedent for; look at MegaUploads.

It’s all about money money money … and the marketable angle of entertainments nerdy side. I sincerely doubt I’ll ever profit off of this other than refining my skills in creative aggregative curation (base skills of a digital enthusiast); but hey, one can always be scared of the ever-looming power of the establishment.

Number 2: (I didn’t really have any more-just thought I’d maintain the theme) Even if Julian Barbour is right or quantum entanglement can be extended past microscopic levels this is the only thing that is gonna be functional in less than 30 years.

Screaming at people that are just as frustrated as you, that are just trying to work, is kind of hypocritical. Incidents like this were the death knell to the OWS movement long before it was struck at it’s epicenter. 

I think people are just going to get more frustrated now that consequences are starting to be felt; however, there are still people looking for jobs while others protest in parks. There are still others working for free to ‘maintain marketable job skills,’ for when the dust settles and those of us lucky enough get chained to a desk have to get back to work.  There are still those who are just getting into this shitty situation that we are all dealing with.

Although, vacating private property under the guise of hygienic clean up measures is not going to stop whatever OWS will become when it grows up and starts reading terms of service agreements before it pays bills; but that is something the people in the atrium of the Deutsche bank should think about when they make decisions for the rest of them or us 99% folks: however that works. (sorry for the loaded language and lack of snarky self-aware commentary in parenthetical-i’ll get back to it when the interweb makes me giggle or go wide eyed in astonishment [had to use it-kindah works-poignant contemporary social satire-ish … whatever-shut it])

This footage of the new Green Lantern movie was released at WonderCon a couple of days ago and it actually makes me think that the first overly campy trailer released a few months ago isn’t characteristic of what the film has to offer.

And in other unexpected super hero movie news Lindsay lohan is auditioning for a part in the upcoming Superman movie.  I don’t know how I feel about her using one of my favorite cultural icons to restart her ‘serious’ acting career again and I’m not sure how I feel about the Superman reboot either.

The story is what sucked the most about the last Superman movie.  It just didn’t make sense and reached too far, while trying to pay homage to Reeves original franchise without really adding anything to it.  I guess a better story would be to give Superman his rightful place as the serious version of Team America-an unwelcome force for justice and delusional up rightness in a world that knows where he fits in as much as he does (which isn’t anywhere).

That impetus was placed solely on the shoulders of Lane in the last installment.  I’m not saying making a cool Superman movie is going to be easy, but Superman Returns was at the beginning of the wave of the superhero movie influx and now the next one has a lot to live up to with this new Green Lantern and the Batman franchise that has already over shadowed a lot of the movies that came before.

There has been a lot of news about there being a Batman reboot after the Dark Knight rises without Chris Nolan’s departure.  We’ll see what we see, but I’m sure I’ll still go see them all.

This extended Captain America trailer just makes me want to see it even more and the fact that Marvel is already planning the sequel makes sense; hardcore fan boys complain and give the big boys that are actually in charge ideas to make the content more marketable.

The best comic book movies in my opinion usually come out of a compromise between what will make money and what will make geeks happy, because all that die-hards on message boards want is kick ass content to geek over.

Kill bill meets Alice in Wonderland meets the Wizard of Oz meets Inception/the Matrix/Brazil (they gave the big glass samurai a machine gun).

If you’ve seen and liked any of these movies I assume that you and I will like this movie; because I haven’t seen it yet either.  I saw the trailer over 4 months ago and have been giddy with anticipation ever since.

I forgot to add Sin City to the movies that this movie draws from.

It is a hyper-stylized movie mashup that doesn’t disappoint, but is a little heavy handed with the girl power message.  Still a great movie that was entertaining as hell.
